Ready for Spring!

The last bits of winter are melting from the ground this week, and I am ready for Spring! I have loved seeing the sun and getting outside a little bit over the last few days. I have also enjoyed seeing my family! The fun began last weekend, when we went to Bouncertown to celebrate my 2nd cousin Rilei's 3rd birthday. I went down a big slide (wasn't planning on doing that by myself, but the teeny bop girl working there that told my Mom she would take me because only adult employees were allowed on the inflatable tossed me down on my belly rather than riding down with me), played some skee ball, and best of all got to see Rilei and eat pizza, cake, and ice cream! I got to see lots of family there, too. Here's a picture of me with Aunt B and Uncle E.
After all the fun we went shopping and then had dinner with Auntie and Uncle and Grandma and Grandpa. We had Bub's burgers. Yummy!
The next day Mom started feeling yucky. She spent the week recovering from what turned out to be tonsilitis. Luckily she didn't get anyone else sick. My Grandma and Grandpa were nice enough to come down and play with me so Mommy could get some rest, antibiotics, and get her fever to go away. I had so much fun with them that I tuckered out on Grandma's shoulder reading a story.
Later this week, I traded in my sock hat for my ball cap. I have been wearing it nearly everyday since. Other things from the week: Mom and I made it out to the park to take in the sun. I played on the swing and loved sliding down the slide. Dad taught me how to change my first tire...and I showed him how to take a ride in the dump truck. Lastly, I got to see my Great Grandma for her birthday! We had lunch, played, and shared some delicious snickers minis together. Then, on the way home, I got to have my first taste of frozen custard from Sycamore. Oh was it tasty!
Hope you all had a great week. Yea for Spring time!

Oh the thinks Ryker thinks!

I meant to post on Valentine's Day and send you all hugs and kisses. Instead, the last two weeks got away from me and now I'm playing catch-up. I got to see lots of my family over the last couple weeks. First, my great auntie and Mommy and I got together for lunch. She got me a Dr. Seuss book and stuffed animal. I took it home and named it all by myself. This is "Doo Doo". I call him by name in the books and when I am carrying him around. Mom and Dad just laugh. I don't get it. You can see this in action by clicking here. Then, Grandma came to visit me. We hadn't seen her since Christmas, but once I realized who she was I couldn't stop saying "Mamaw" and just loved playing with her. She brought me Christmas presents and I had a blast opening them. My favorite was the punching balloon in my stocking. I got the hang of it right away and was tickled to pieces to punch that thing all over the house.Later in the week, I got a bubble machine. One thing that Grandma reminded me of was my love for bubbles, but I still have a hard time blowing them on my own. So, Mommy and I found this bubble machine that looks like a Bilbo (dog). I can't get enough of this thing. If you want to see a video of me playing with my bubble dog, click here. The other day I found my Daddy's hat laying on the table. I put it on my head, looking just like an Olympian, and Mom caught it all on video here. I looked so cute she had to take a picture, too.The last couple weeks have not been without some bumps...literally. I fell onto my parent's footboard and that resulted in a giant goose egg on my noggin. By the time that healed up completely, I got sick. God protected my ears from another infection though. I hope to be feeling 100% by the weekend and blog some more for you next week. See you then!

My snow buddy...

The last week and a half we have gotten a bit of snow. Though that means we mostly stay indoors where it is nice and warm, it also means some moments of fun in the beautiful fluffy white stuff. We made my first snow buddy. He was just my size. I didn't like making snow angels as much as I liked making my snow friend. Last weekend was the Superbowl. We surprised Daddy's office with a giant cookie treat on Friday dressed in all our blue. Then, Sunday we got to watch the big game with our friends. Sadly, the Colts could not pull out a victory, but it was neat getting to see Dad's friend Dave on TV in the Doritos commercial (he is in the casket). My favorite part was just being with everyone. I got to see my Mimi, play with Emer and Allison and Connor and Chandler, climb on all kinds of fun stuff, and eat for what seemed like the entire duration of the game. I'll be updating again this weekend with my most recent adventures. See you then!
