Big Brother

Hi everyone! As promised, today I wanted to share some big news with all of you. First, I am officially announcing that I am going to be a big brother. We've known for a while and many of you that have seen us have heard the news and can see Mommy's "ball" belly, as I affectionately refer to it. Today we got to see pictures of the baby in Mommy's belly. We found out this morning that the baby is a (drum roll please...)
BOY!

We are looking forward to my little buddy's arrival in August. Here is a picture of my lil' bro:I hope you are enjoying the awesome weather, and cheering hard for the Bulldogs to rock the Final Four this weekend. I've been super busy playing and enjoying the warm temps. Here are some recent pics!

Up and down...

This was a week of ups and downs. Ups...there's lots of basketball to be watched and played. Daddy took me out in the driveway and we played ball for a bit. I showed my favorite neighbors my bounce pass. I also got a fresh hair cut. This place was pretty cool...a car just my size to sit in, a spiffy new do, and a few trips down the super cool slide. Alright! Downs...I've been sick all week, again. Mommy and I have been battling a plethora of illnesses lately. After 3 trips to the doctor, I'm still putting up a fight against a pretty nasty rash, ear infection, and some other not so fun symptoms. Hopefully things clear up soon.
I'll be back next week with some exciting news to share with you!

Outdoor fun...

Hi everyone! I hope you got outside to enjoy the beautiful sunshine like I did this week. I hardly had a moment to rest with all there was to do this week.
Rilei came to spend the day with me Monday. We had a fun time chasing each other around. Tuesday we visited Daddy at work and I got a new hat. I like it so much that I ask to put it on every morning when I wake up. Breakfast and a hat...I'm so silly! Every day this week I went to the park (or next door to my neighbor's "park") and played. I am turning into quite the experienced climber, and I love to run around the park, swing, teeter totter, and slide! This week also marked St Patty's Day. We all sported our green. Aren't Daddy and I the most handsome leprechauns you've ever seen?We have had a lot of basketball on the television this weekend. All the excitement inspired me to create my own game. I came up with it all by myself. I call it "yo-yo" which is more appropriately named than even I understand. I hold a small pack of tissues and pretend to give them to Daddy or Mommy. When they reach for them I pull it back and say "yo" and then I stick it out for them to take and say "yo" again. This continues til I either drop the tissues, they get too quick for me, or I start giggling so hard that I can't really say "yo" anymore. They think it's hilarious! You can see it in action by clicking here.
See you next week!

My slide...

This week the temperatures were so nice and mild that we got to spend more time outside. We set up my new slide and I took to it instantly! I've already logged more than 3 hours of slide time this week, and that doesn't count the fun trip that I had to the park with my buddy Emerson on the big slide (I hope to share pictures of that next week). Though my slide is smaller, I could hardly stop clapping each trip down because I was able to handle getting up the stairs and down the slide all by myself. I'm such a big boy! I am quite the climber and I like to run around the house and get into all kinds of mischief whenever possible. While mom was doing some cleaning in the kitchen, I decided to take off my pants and wear them like a hat. Where do I come up with this stuff?
We finished off the week with a fun lunch with Mimi, Lauren, and Emerson, the aforementioned trip to the park, and a lovely dinner with our friends Stefan & Christine...I was telling them (and showing them) all about the joys of having a little one. I look forward to meeting their girlie when she makes her appearance this summer!
I'll see you on my blog next week!

Ready for Spring!

The last bits of winter are melting from the ground this week, and I am ready for Spring! I have loved seeing the sun and getting outside a little bit over the last few days. I have also enjoyed seeing my family! The fun began last weekend, when we went to Bouncertown to celebrate my 2nd cousin Rilei's 3rd birthday. I went down a big slide (wasn't planning on doing that by myself, but the teeny bop girl working there that told my Mom she would take me because only adult employees were allowed on the inflatable tossed me down on my belly rather than riding down with me), played some skee ball, and best of all got to see Rilei and eat pizza, cake, and ice cream! I got to see lots of family there, too. Here's a picture of me with Aunt B and Uncle E.
After all the fun we went shopping and then had dinner with Auntie and Uncle and Grandma and Grandpa. We had Bub's burgers. Yummy!
The next day Mom started feeling yucky. She spent the week recovering from what turned out to be tonsilitis. Luckily she didn't get anyone else sick. My Grandma and Grandpa were nice enough to come down and play with me so Mommy could get some rest, antibiotics, and get her fever to go away. I had so much fun with them that I tuckered out on Grandma's shoulder reading a story.
Later this week, I traded in my sock hat for my ball cap. I have been wearing it nearly everyday since. Other things from the week: Mom and I made it out to the park to take in the sun. I played on the swing and loved sliding down the slide. Dad taught me how to change my first tire...and I showed him how to take a ride in the dump truck. Lastly, I got to see my Great Grandma for her birthday! We had lunch, played, and shared some delicious snickers minis together. Then, on the way home, I got to have my first taste of frozen custard from Sycamore. Oh was it tasty!
Hope you all had a great week. Yea for Spring time!
