Produce

That's a funny post title. It makes sense, though. The theme for the past week or so has been produce. Pumpkins, apples, and potatoes to be more specific. Let me explain...
A couple of weeks ago we got a call from Great Uncle Ike after church. Uncle Ike lives in Kansas and we usually get to see him every other year for Christmas. Uncle Ike drives a giant semi-truck and he happened to be passing through Indianapolis with a huge trailer full of potatoes. So, we headed to the south side to have lunch with him. It was great to see him (thank goodness for those spuds)!

My Grammy and Papaw came down to visit us for the weekend. It was so much fun to have them spend the night. We headed to the orchard for some apple picking and tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch. I was battling a bit of a "toddler 'tude" most of the day, but it was still a great time. I love time with Grammy & Papaw! Here are some pictures of our visit.

Cider slushies make everything better.

My pal/brother Deklan and I have been having more and more fun together. I am teaching him how to play ball and since he started walking he is able to push me around on the Mickey car. We play in the bubble machine pretty frequently and we just like to laugh a lot. It has been getting us into a bit of trouble come nap time. I've even been caught climbing into his crib to jump up and down in bed with him. Mommy laughs and then tells us to go to sleep (we'd probably be in bigger trouble if we weren't so stinking cute)!

Well, that is about it for my latest adventures. See you next time...

So long, summer!

On Saturday, we had a full day of college football, Dad smoked some ribs, and we began our three day weekend. It was 100 degrees outside, so most of the time was spent indoors. When I woke up on Sunday, it was chilly. Apparently fall decided to come overnight. So, after much pleading to continue wearing my shorts each morning, and instead slipping on sweats and a long sleeve shirt, I have come to terms with this farewell to summer and hello to autumn. With all this indoor time on our hands, we've been playing baseball. When I say that you probably think of a two year old's attention span and give me, at best, about 5-10 min of baseball playing at a time. Wrong. I play baseball all evening with Daddy. Sometimes we even let Mom pitch (but she is a wild thing and doesn't do it as well as Dad). We start from the time we finish dinner and we usually wrap up an hour to an hour and a half later. If I do say so myself, I'm quite the little slugger!

I had my buddies, Emerson and Sully, over for a couple of movie days recently. Our first one was for the Dinosaur Train: Big City movie. Emerson and I really like to watch Buddy, and Tiny, Shiny, and Don. Most of all we like dancing around to their songs and any other music that is playing. We had T-Rex "peanut jelly sandwiches" (that's what I call a pbj) and Stegosaurus chocolate chip cookies. Then they came over for some bbq and football, which was awesome. Yorn made us cool popcorn bags with football stuff on them and we had delicious pepperoni and cheese pretzel kabobs. She's so creative. Lastly, a little Toy Story 3, a comfy blanket, and four of the cutest boys ever snuggling together on a cool day. Better yet, a picture where all of us are looking!

I helped Daddy do some home improvement recently. We had some terrible track lighting in our dining room. Mom insisted that after we painted the atrocious light had to be replaced. A little craigslist perusing resulted in the perfect chandelier. Dad and I (with some assistance from Deklan) tackled the project one Saturday. It required a cool headlamp, lots of measuring, and a lot of tools.

With my so long to summer, I thought I'd throw in some of my pictures from 4th of July that I didn't get around to posting a couple of months ago. Emerson and I were playing cornhole in our matching outfits...we've got such silly Mommies!

Since we were playing catch up with pictures, here are some from Deklan's birthday party. It was a blast. As you can see, I liked the tasty cookies and playing with all my friends. I can't wait til my birthday!

If you have time, check out my newest videos. Mom caught me singing Winnie the Pooh. Then she took a video of me, dancing to Veggie Tales Silly Songs. Click on the links to see me. I'm hilarious!
