Sweet Relief!

This weekend was the annual Relief Sale. We went up to Goshen for the weekend where we feasted and had a blast with family. This year our family from the west came to visit, too! I had a great time with my great uncles and aunts, my cousins and my Aunt Nessa and Uncle Tyler. Here are some shots of the cousins.

Below is me with Uncle Ike. He knows the way to this boy's heart is via the doughnut!
Then, I got to ride a train with Mommy.

Daddy bought me one of my favorite treats...a cookie from Dutch Maid, and in the shape of a football no less! I can't wait until next year!
I've continued to be a big help to Mommy. I am teaching Deklan how to do tummy time. I am also teaching Deklan how to give bumps. He'll thank me later for that!

See you next week...

Just my Grandma and me...

I was lucky enough to get another weekend by myself with Grandma recently. I love Deklan very much, but it was nice to get some time without the crying. I love Mom and Dad, too, but Grandma has a special place in my heart. Plus, what boy wouldn't jump at all that attention that she gives me? We played outside for half the day, literally, throwing Brendan's football, sliding, climbing the retaining wall in the back yard, and showing her how "Ryker run fast in new shoes!" What a blast! When Daddy, Mommy, and Deklan returned on Sunday (thankfully they didn't bring another baby home like the last time they left!) I was anxious to tell them all about the fun we'd had.

Speaking of fun, I told you that I'd show you my new Buzz pjs. I can't get enough of these. I request them most nights, even though that's just not possible (well it is, but Mom refuses to do laundry every single day). I crack myself up when I wear them. Here I am standing on "Bullseye" and showing off my cute jammies...and my new haircut. Mom says I look like such a big boy in these shots, then tells me I'm growing up too fast, trying not to get teary eyed...Oh, Mom!

Speaking of photos, Deklan had his one month shots taken the other day. I hopped in for some adorable big bro-little bro candids. Check all of them out here!

I fix it!

Since Deklan arrived, I have become quite the helper. I like to get Mommy diapers, throw things away, and "hold" Deklan. I started helping in other realms. First, I helped Daddy fix my Buzz Quad. I tell him "Daddy, I fix it!" My car seems to need repairing every night now, so we work on it and get it ready to ride the next day.

I got some new shoes this week, too. I run faster in them than I ever have before. I like running up and down the driveway, running around the back yard, and pretty much running everywhere.

We have been watching lots of football lately. Daddy smoked some pork that was really yummy and then we watched the games. Daddy taught me how to throw the football like a quarterback. Check out my spiral!

Grammy and Papaw and Great Grandma came to see me this week. Yea! We played a lot outside. Great Grandma brought me some super cool pjs, too. I'll show you those next time...they're Buzz Lightyear!

Here are some more adorable pictures of me that Mom couldn't help but throw on my blog.

This week my bud Brayden came to visit. My brother and I joined him in watching our Dads play foosball. Daddy took the best of 7 series handily! Go Daddy, go daddy, go daddy! I celebrated by eating a whole apple...yep, I said WHOLE, as in the core seeds and all. I know, I can't believe I did that either.

See you next week!

So long summer!

Labor Day traditionally marks the unofficial farewell to summer for most people. We said goodbye in style this weekend. My favorite summertime activity was watching Daddy play softball. He unexpectedly played in a tournament on Sunday so Deklan, Mommy, and I all went to watch. It was an all day and night event, with us getting home shortly before midnight, but it was a blast! Mom had her hands pretty full so there aren't pictures, but take my word for it when I say that I was COVERED in brick dust from all the running around I did and completely exhausted when the day was through. I can't wait til next summer!
The brisk fall weather marked the start of football! Yea! Daddy and I watched several games this weekend. The fall weather has been perfect for cruising around on my Buzz quad. I showed my buddy Emerson how much fun it is to ride it. I think he enjoyed it! I also helped Mommy give my little brother his first bath this week. He didn't fuss a bit, which is somewhat odd since he seems to squawk and fuss whenever he is awake. I love that loud little fella!

A week ago we got a visit from my Great Aunt Mimi and cousins Zak & Taylor. Zak was getting ready to leave for San Diego where he'll be in bootcamp for the Marines for the next 13 weeks. He's a very brave guy. Here we are chatting it up. I'll miss Zak and hope that you'll join me in praying for him while he is away. Thanks!
